‘No one wants to die. They only want to kill the pain’ -Making a mystery out of travesty, this film hyper-ventilates in 307/309 zone as it tries to find the whereabouts of Sajini. The set-up and dialogues sound alien, the narrative feels misrepresented, the twists and turns appear contrived and forced, the zealous lady cop’s efforts seem out-of-place and the end-play comes across as rather tame and mystifying after all that brouhaha.Not quite the ‘Happy Teachers Day’ scenario we envisioned. It’s great to see #NimratKaur in a badass cop role on screen, though!

This Gangster drama series set against the backdrop of the 60’s era, comes at a time when we are up to our ears in gangster dramas. It’s definitely not the worst but it tends to go through the same rigmarole we’ve seen before. Save for the cast, the rest is passe. Based on a book by #ArnabRay, there’s not much intensity, pace or gritty realism to be had here. Feels like a 70’s hindi film in sepia tones minus the entertainment value!
