The Public Service Broadcasting Trust (PSBT) is currently inviting proposals for documentary films of 26 and 52 minutes duration for its project with Doordarshan.
There is no formal commissioning brief and proposals are invited on any theme representing filmmakers’ interests. The Films may be shot and produced on any professional video format but will need to be mastered on DVCam. PSBT will transfer these to DVC Pro at its own expenses to submit to Doordarshan.
Filmmakers are invited to submit proposals for 26 min and/ or 52 minute (in two parts) films. The budget sanctioned for a 52 minute film will not be on a pro-rata basis. Approximately 50 films will be commissioned under this project.
Filmmakers will be provided a maximum of six months to complete the Film. The average budget for a 26 minute Film will be between 3 and 4 lakh.
The last date to submit Proposals is 31 December 2013.
