Bhoothnath Returns(Hindi) Rating: *  * ½ The ghost who couldn’t scare children nor rouse up an audience returns in this sequel. Spare humor solid performances don’t make a mark on the ennui though.

Oculus(English) Rating: *  *  * What the mind conjures may not necessarily be what the eye sees. It’s a theme that brings on precipitous tension but the scares are minimal. The sharp edgy treatment orchestrated by Mike Flanagan  keeps you absorbed and interested.

Rio 2(English/3D) Rating: *  *  * Colorful, humorous in fitful spurts and fitfully engaging. The voicing is nicely done and 3D animation quite inveigling.

Divergent(English) Rating: *  * ½  A wildly popular young adult novel gets the cinematic treatment like ‘Hunger Games’ but doesn’t achieve the same narrative balance or provide the same level of satisfaction.
