#Jazbaa(Hindi) Rating:* * ½ From gaping giant sized craters, he’s whittled down his narrative gaps to mere Mumbai sized potholes. And that’s a progressive step no doubt..at least for Sanjay Gupta. Unfortunately this ‘Kaante’ nahin Katthe. Wobbly histrionics, skewed dynamics, knee-jerk story-telling and pyrrhic , jaded,  verbal jousts punctuating the uncoordinated dramatics make for an exhausting experience. And Mumbai frequently juxtaposed in between makes it all seem so alien- not least because the greenish-gray tinged aerial (most of it)cinematography makes the city look derelict and eerily post apocalyptic( that probably was not the intention here). Aishwarya tries a little too hard to regain lost glory..but that’s a long and arduous task ahead for that. Shabana Is distinctively weighty but ungainly & Irfan plays to the gallery.
